Serving Delaware for More Than 42 years

In 1972, brothers Norbert and Raymond Paszkiewicz along with Warren Class formed a business partnership with the concept of developing a state-of-the- art community in Rehoboth Beach for affordable year-around and vacation homes.  In the summer of 1973, Colonial East MHP opened to serve the needs of the community.  We are proud to claim that Mark Class, son of Warren, continues to be active in the operation of all our facilities and has served the public for 43 years!  We have been blessed to be servicing the needs of third generation residents.

Additionally, the partners formed Colonial East Mobile Homes Sales in the same year with Warren’s eldest son, Steve, joining the sales team upon serving his nation in January, 1973.  Meeting  the shore’s housing needs for more than 40 years with thousands of satisfied homeowners , the tradition continues with Steve’s son, Ryan, taking the helm with his Bayside Homes Delaware organization.

The Lochwood sub-division, located on Burton’s Pond, Angola was developed by the partners in numerous phases and features energy-efficient modular homes on fee simple home sites.  Lochwood is governed by an active HOA and features both wooded and meadow lots and is completing the final offering to the public.

The mid-eighties began the partners land-leased communities’ expansion with the development of Sussex East located just west of Five Points on Lewes Georgetown Highway.   Ten years later CE’s newest homestead of Sussex West was planned and developed as a premier, age-restricted 55+ community featuring multi-sectional homes with attached garages.   The final section of this community is currently under construction.  Sussex East and Sussex West Communities are a wonderful environment for active retirement living with such amenities as our beautiful community center; the Manor House and with a year-round, indoor pool expected to be under construction by the end of 2014.

The next century provided the Partnership with different opportunities allowing for the construction and operation of Storage Solutions, a 97,500 SF. climate-controlled storage facility with a selection of retail stores as well as the introduction of the newest Panera Bread restaurant serving the beach area.

CEO Steve Class, as well as his brother/partner, Mark and the Paszkiewicz family continues to remain very active in the business as well as other civic, trade and social organizations.  Having a dedicated, friendly staff is the key to any business and the company has been fortunate to have such staff to assist clients and customers with their needs and dreams.  Colonial East L.P. looks forward to serving their customers for many years to come.

Thank you,
